Couple Star In Their Own Flash Mob Proposal

Couple Star In Their Own Flash Mob Proposal

10th December 2016 was a very special date for Stuart & Emma. The culmination of two weeks of rehearsals and planning meant Stuart could finally pop the question to his partner – in the most memorable way possible. Her reaction was just beautiful. The TopSecret team have done 100’s of flashmobs but Stuart wanted something slightly different so we created one where the couple star in their own flash mob proposal.

Couple Star In Their Own Flash Mob ProposalEmma absolutely loves dancing so we came up with the idea of asking her to help out for a performance at the Cutty Sark in Greenwich. The ruse was that we needed an extra dancer and (fortunately) Emma was only too pleased to step in. What happened next was magical.

The surprise took a fair bit of planning and co-ordination and Stuart had to tell a couple of little white lies to keep this a secret. Friends and family had been invited and our choreographer prepared a special video tutorial where Stuart could learn a section of the dance routine to perform to Emma.  The pair have been to dance classes together and Emma teaches dance for youngsters. Stuart chose the song Make My Dreams Come True by Hall & Oates as it said everything he needed to for his proposal. We mixed it into a medley featuring Single Ladies as Emma knew the song inside out. She was amazing especially as she was dancing in heels!

Their lovely friends and family met up to witness the engagement and brought an amazing energy to the proposal. They hid away until the reveal and we couldn’t have asked for it to go any better.

Or could we?

10th December was also Santacon – a global ‘dress up as Santa day’. There must have been nearly a thousand people in red and white in Greenwich whilst we were preparing for the proposal. Hilariously, during rehearsals, we were joined by some of them who had a boogie with our team. Fortunately, they continued their journey to the other side of the river Thames letting our couple star in their own flash mob proposal.
